To coincide with the launch of the Imagine Van Gogh Exhibit @ 100 Kellogg Lane we're so excited to offer our Limited Edition Van Gogh inspired beers.
The Impasto Europils is modelled after the extremely quaffable European Pilsners. This is one of our two offerings for the Van Gogh exhibit.(Impasto is a technique used in painting, where paint is laid on an area of the surface thickly, usually thick enough that the brush or painting-knife strokes are visible)
The first impression on the nose is of a beautiful crisp beer. The malt provides notes of lightly toasted bread with honey and the hops provide a very subdued spicy herbaceousness. On the palate, the beer starts with a malty sweetness that gives way to a medium body and minerally taste leading into a pleasantly bitter finish.
Overall, an absolute crusher. A decent recommendation to people who are looking for a nice, easy, clean lager.
