Japanese Style Lager
ABV 4.6% IBU 18
Brewed with German Pilsner malt, Flaked rice, decocted to add some complexity,
and steeped with Hibiscus Flowers.
This year’s collaboration with Illbury and Goose is clean, refreshing rice lager with hibiscus
additions. Typical of most Japanese lagers, this beer has a healthy amount of flaked rice added to it, to give it the crisp, clean character one would expect from a Japanese beer. Unlike typical rice lagers though, this beer was triple decocted, giving it some interesting complexity like in a Czech pilsner, and brewed with hibiscus, giving it some light, fruity characters as well as a shift in colour.
